Cambridge Christian School
International Students
International Student Admissions
Cambridge Christian School values the participation of international students in our program. CCS was founded in 1978 and is a (charter) member of Associated Christian Schools International (ACSI). We have welcomed international students since 1989 and have been blessed by their contribution to the global awareness of our regular student body.
Philosophy of Education:
Our program is guided by a “Whole Child” educational philosophy that values investment in the “heart, soul, mind, and strength” (Mt 22:37) of our students. We encourage our students to strive for excellence in all areas and offer classes at a more rigorous level of study. Our goal is that every student graduating from our high school program be prepared for college work. CCS understands that not all international students are people of the Christian faith; however, all international students must agree to Christian education, including participation in the school’s Bible courses and chapel program.
International Student Authorization: SEVIS
- CCS is authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (SEVIS) to enroll international students.
- All interviews and final decisions regarding acceptance are made by CCS.
- It is the responsibility of the international student and their family to obtain the appropriate visa required for study in the United States.
Temporary Guardianship:
International students wishing to attend CCS must complete our Guardianship Authorization Form, which appoints someone in Minnesota to assume responsibility for the student while enrolled here. This approval will enable this credible adult to make informed decisions regarding medical treatment and other relevant matters.
Host Families:
CCS will secure host families for international students. Input from international students is welcome but not required. A monthly contribution may be required for room and board if the family cannot fully sponsor the international student’s household needs. While residing with the host family, the international student should expect to participate in family activities as any child in the family does.
Host Qualifications:
Screening Process:
- All host parents undergo a thorough screening process to ensure a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered home environment for students. This process includes:
- Criminal background checks for all adult household members
- Reference checks were conducted with church pastors and selected individuals.
- A home visit to confirm appropriate living arrangements and overall suitability for hosting
- These steps help us ensure that every student is welcomed into a home that reflects the values and standards of Cambridge Christian School.
Program and Application Dates:
• New student applications for Fall 2026-27 will open on March 15, 2026
• Fall semester begins September 1, 2025.

2026-2027 INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TUITION AND FEES
Tuition and Fees: $9000
- Includes core expenses: textbooks, workbooks, teacher salaries, association fees, administrative fees, and local field trips
- Students who request an I-20 are required to pay the full year’s tuition, registration, and other fees before the registration process is considered complete and for the student to begin instruction. This includes all fees associated with SEVIS forms.
- Financial assistance is not available for international students.
- Financial commitments and arrangements will be communicated at the time of enrollment and managed through our Business Office.
Early Withdrawal
- If a student or family chooses not to attend CCS, or if a visa is denied for any reason before the start of the school term, the student will be withdrawn from SEVIS. In such cases, tuition—excluding any application and entrance fees—will be refunded.
- If a student withdraws from CCS at any point during the school year, no refund of any funds paid will be issued.
- Students who accumulate an absence rate exceeding 15% will be dismissed from the school. At that time, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be notified that the student is no longer enrolled at CCS, and the I‑20 will be revoked.

- Annual expense for Home Stay averages between $2500 and $5000
